Open Day 2026 — Every Court in Use, Serves Clocked at 55mph

Junior coaching session on the grass court

What a Sunday. The sun stayed out, every court was in use from start to finish, and the club was full of new faces alongside the regulars.

A big thank you to Jayne and Gillian Stallion, and to Jason White Tennis Coach, for helping organise the day.

Fastest Serve Competition

The radar gun got a proper workout. Serves came in from complete beginners, curious kids, and a few members determined to prove a point. The fastest of the day clocked in at 55mph — big cheer from the crowd, and no shortage of challengers lining up to try and beat it.

Adults and kids picking up a racket

The junior coaching hour and the have-a-go sessions were packed. Loads of kids picked up a racket for the first time — some for the first proper rally of their lives — and plenty of adults dusted off their game too.

Thank you

Huge thanks to everyone who turned up, played, donated, and helped run the day. Every penny raised goes straight into court re-painting and the new clubhouse floor.
